Man killed after stopping fight between friend and wife

A 35-year-old man, identified as Miller, is on the run after he allegedly slashed the neck of 49-year-old Azure Ayardako leading to his death at Tutuka, a village near Ahafo Kenyasi in the Asutifi North district of the Ahafo region.

Information gathered by Adom News suggested that the sad incident happened after Mr Ayardako separated a fight between Miller and his wife known as Mama.

“Miller claimed he had poisoned himself and was just about to kill his wife as well for reasons best known to him before Azure intervened and therefore asked Azure to save him also because he had drunk a weedicide.

“Azure suggested he comes with him to his hut so he could give him palm oil to drink to reduce the effect of the chemical but Miller slashed his neck with a cutlass from behind as they were walking towards the hut and immediately dashed into hiding,” a witness, Yakubu Yusiff claimed.

Meanwhile, the body has been sent to the St Theresa’s Hospital mortuary at Hwidiem with assurance from the District Police Commander, Kofi Akowuah to crack down on the suspect who is on the run.
