Obinim and his followers dance to Captain Planet’s ‘Obinim Stickers’ song in church

The founder and leader of the International Gods Way Church (IGWC), Bishop Daniel Obinim, does not cease to amaze.

He always has something up sleeves when it comes to doing the unthinkable.

In a latest sighted by YEN.com.gh, Obinim is heard playing a secular song in church when service was ongoing.

It was no other song than Captain Planet’s “Obinim Stickers” which features Pope Skinny and Trigmatic.

In the video which is fast going viral, Obinim dancing his heart out as the congregation cheered him on.

And Obinim is heard shouting “show your sticker” as the song blasted and his congregants obliged and joined him in dancing.

Some church members obviously surprised by Obinim’s dance moves were spraying some cash on him.

It will be recalled that Obinim, a few months ago, trended online over his much-talked about sticker.

In what became known as the #ObinimStickerChallenge, many Ghanaians took to social media to share ‘testimonies’ of how the Obinim stickers had helped them.

It was this trend that brought about the ‘Obinim Sticker’ song from the camp hiplife musician Captain Planet of 4X4 fame.

While many deemed it as a mockery of Obinim’s methods, he rather endorsed the song and asked his congregants not to fight anyone for doing a song which promotes him.

“ …I heard that some secular musicians have made a song with it [Obinim stickers]. I listened to the song and realised it is a good one which can be sang at church; therefore if anyone should attack such a musician who is praising me in his song, he should first check his sense,” Obinim said.

Obinim’s latest video could therefore be said to be in fulfillment of an earlier statement. And for someone, who claims to be an ‘angel’, it was just befitting that his church members threw money on him. It is not often that you see how ‘angels’ show us how they dance in heaven.
