Mahama will be a saint someday – Manasseh ‘prophesies’

Multimedia Journalist, Manasseh Azuri Awuni is predicting former President John Dramani Mahama could be made canonized someday if the current trend of happening in the country under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration persists.

“If things continue this way, we will have to canonize John Dramani Mahama someday”, he revealed in a post.

Mr Azuri Awuni who has been very critical about the Akufo-Addo led administration in fighting corruption observed that the government is rather interested in making mincemeat out of political scandals of its opponents rather than using the powers at its disposal to retrieve resources looted from the state.

“You are more interested in the political capital from those scandals than using the power given to you by the people to retrieve the money and punish the culprits? And this does not make you different from the alternative you claim is “scary.” He stated in a post sighted by MyNewsGh.com.

Recently he was quoted to have said “the difference between the expectations of an Akufo-Addo government and what we have witnessed is vast. It appears we bought the latest smartphone on December 7, 2016, at Circle, and when we got home, we realised it was a bar of key soap”

The journalist said he expects some honest persons within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to tell government that what they expected prior to the 2016 elections is far from what is being delivered.

“I’m sure the very honest people in the NPP will tell you they expected better from an Akufo-Addo government than what we have seen so far. You may have a point in your submissions, but I must say, if Jesus Christ had told me this was how an Akufo-Addo government was going to be, I would have doubted him”
