Mahama is shameless ‘old man without sense’ – New Danquah Institute Boss

While various campaigns are being waged to promote civil discourse in Ghana politics, newly-appointed Executive Director of Danquah Institute, Mr. Richard Ahiagbah has started his new job with a direct attack on the person of former President John Mahama calling him senseless and without shame.

Mr. Ahiagbah in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com says when it comes to old men who possess wisdom, former President Mahama should not be counted, adding that if Mahama had shame, he would not collect Ghc568k ex gratia and run for president on top.

“With no scintilla of shame, John Mahama after accepting his ex-gratia of GH¢568, 000 still had the audacity to contest flag bearer position with the hope of returning to the Presidency.”

In his words, “John Mahama is an exception to the adage that ‘wisdom’ comes with age”. The newly-appointed Danquah Institute boss who appeared eager to get the attention of his political superiors expressed outrage that Mahama used the words state capture to describe the Akufo-Addo government.

Explaining State capture to Daily Guide, Mr. Ahiagba said State captured was when Mr. Mahama during his term as president “dashed his brother, Ibrahim Mahama, 60% of Ghana’s bauxite deposit”.

“State capture was what stood out in the key issues underlying the sale of Merchant Bank to Fortiz. A bad deal which was enforced to avoid the payment of the debt owed Merchant Bank by Ibrahim Mahama.” He added. “State capture was the signing of the $510 million AMERI deal in 2015. State capture was the reckless triple excess take or pay power agreements which resulted in Ghana paying $80 million a month for energy we do not use. The pieces of evidence are many, but the main point is that Mr. Mahama should be the last person to ever point an accusing finger at anyone for state capture.” He continued.

The Danquah Institute boss advised the former president to get campaign message and desist from attacking President Akufo-Addo, adding just as Mahama failed in 2016, so shall he fail in 2020.

“Mahama had no capacity to be president in 2016 and still has no capacity to be president in 2020”, he said.
