LIVESTREAMING: Ghana vs South Africa (2021 AFCON Qualifier)

Hello, good evening and welcome to the first competitive game of the Black Stars since the disastrous 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Egypt where Ghana crashed out in the Round of 16 against Tunisia.

Coach Kwesi Appiah and his charges have a fine opportunity to win back the love and affection of Ghanaians as they start the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying campaign against South Africa at Cape Coast Stadium tonight.

The two teams will aim to get points on the board after Sudan thumped Sao Tome 4-0 on Wednesday to go top of the group.

After today’s match, the two teams will have to quickly get ready for their second matches in the series with Ghana traveling to face Sao Tome on November 18 and South Africa hosting Sudan on November 17.

The last time Ghana met South Africa in a competitive match, Ayew scored the winner in a 2-1 victory in a group game in the 2015 AFCON.

Coach Kwesi Appiah has named debutante Iddrisu Baba in Ghana’s starting line up for tonight’s game.

The Real Mallorca midfielder will partner Thomas Partey, Alfred Duncan and skipper Andre Ayew in midfield in midfield.

Jordan Ayew and Emmanuel Boateng will lead Ghana’s attack.
