LIVESTREAMING: Germany vs Ghana (Friendly)

The Black Satellites face Germany in a friendly as they prepare for their WAFU Zone B U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The African Games champions are currently on a training tour in Europe as they engage top opponents in intense preparations.

The game against Germany is the final match of their tour before travelling to Togo for the qualifiers.

Ghana were drawn in Group A of the WAFU Zone B U-20 AFCON qualifiers alongside Togo, Benin, and Niger in their group, while Group B, which consists of three teams, includes Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, and Burkina Faso.

The qualifiers are slated for October 2024 as Ghana hope to qualify for the tournament set to take place in 2025.

Ghana missed out on the last edition of the U-20 AFCON, with their last appearance dating back to 2021.

The Satellites are the second most successful team in the tournament, winning it four times, while Nigeria leads with seven titles.

The fixtures are expected to be announced in the coming days, with the first round of matches set for October 17 to 31, 2024.
