LIVESTREAMING: 77th Anniversary of the 28th February Crossroads shooting incident

Today February 28, 2025 marks the 77th anniversary of the historical incident, with a ceremony currently underway to honor the occasion.

The 28th February Christiansborg Crossroads Shooting Incident is observed annually to pay tribute to the defenseless ex-servicemen who were killed in 1948 by colonial police while peacefully marching to the Osu Castle to present a petition to then-Governor Sir Gerald Creasy.

Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is special guest of honour for the event.

Also present are the Minister of Interior, Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka, and the Minister of Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah.
