The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reacted to a press conference organised by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), where the party accused Attorney General Godfred Dame of attempting to influence the testimony of Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the trial involving Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
During a press conference held on May 28, 2024, the NDC played an audio recording where Dame allegedly pressured Jakpa to testify differently from his initial explanation regarding the signing of Letters of Credit (LCs) for the purchase of 200 vehicles.
In a press conference set up at the NPP headquarters in Asylum Down in Accra, the NPP accused the NDC of embarking on a desperate attempt to shield Ato Forson from accountability.
