Lionel Messi’s mansion in Spain vandalized – Reports

Climate activists in Argentina have vandalized footballer Lionel Messi’s home in Ibiza, Spain causing controversy, according to SkyNews.

The activists, from the group Futuro Vegetal, sprayed black and red paint on much of the mansion.

SkyNews reported that the group took this action because they expected Messi to speak out against the ‘responsibility of the rich’ amid the nation’s climate crisis.

“Climate activists vandalized Messi’s Ibiza mansion. Activists from Futuro Vegetal sprayed black red paint on footballer Lionel Messi’s home on the Spanish Island.

“The group said Messi was targeted to denounce the ‘responsibility of the rich’ for the climate crisis,” SkyNews reported.

Security agencies have launched an investigation to identify and appropriately deal with the culprits.

Messi is one of Argentina’s most celebrated players, having led the national team to victory in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and two Copa America titles.

The former Barcelona star has also won an unprecedented seven Ballon d’Or awards.

Some football pundits and fans believe the record solidifies his status as the Greatest Footballer of All Time (GOAT) but others contest the claim.
