LilWin’s ‘A Country Called Ghana’ receives over 10 nominations at the Imo International Film Festival in Nigeria

Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as LilWin, has achieved a remarkable feat with his movie ‘A Country Called Ghana.’

The film, directed by Frank Fiifi Gharbin and produced by LilWin, was released in May 2024.

It features a multinational cast including actors like Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, and Victor Osuagwu.

At the 2024 Imo International Film Festival, ‘A Country Called Ghana’ has been nominated in 11 categories, including Best Screenplay, Best Actor (Male) for Ramsey Nouah, Best Supporting Actor (Male) for Kwadwo Nkansah (LilWin), and others.

LilWin’s performance in the film has earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor, where he will compete against Nigerian actor Kanayo O. Kanayo.

The movie has also been nominated for ‘Black Star Movie of the Year’ at the 2024 Black Star International Film Festival.

Since its release, it has secured a cinema distribution deal and received multiple nominations at film festivals in Germany and New Zealand. It is also set to be featured at the Nollywood Film Festival.
