Lil Win Pays Courtesy Call on Afro-Arab Group President Ahead of Movie Premiere

Celebrated Ghanaian actor and filmmaker, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, the President and Founder of the Afro-Arab Group of Companies, to officially invite him to the grand premiere of his upcoming film, Captain Ibrahim Traore.

The actor, accompanied by his manager and key members of his production team, visited the Afro-Arab Group’s offices in Accra as part of efforts to engage key stakeholders and leaders in the buildup to the highly anticipated movie launch.

Lil Win and his team were warmly received by Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, who was joined by Mr. Jerry Degraft Johnson, a senior official within the Afro-Arab Group. The meeting was marked by mutual respect and shared passion for youth empowerment and African storytelling.

Speaking during the visit, Lil Win thanked Ambassador Salamu Amadu for his warm hospitality and consistent support for the creative arts industry in Ghana. He also commended the Afro-Arab Group President for his visionary and transformational leadership, which he said continues to inspire young people across the country.

“I am honoured to be here to officially invite Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu to the premiere of Captain Ibrahim Traore,” Lil Win said. “He is a role model to many of us, and his transformational leadership has impacted countless lives. We deeply appreciate the warm reception and his encouragement for what we are doing.”

Ambassador Salamu Amadu, in turn, lauded Lil Win for his efforts in using film as a medium to educate, entertain, and inspire. He described Captain Ibrahim Traore as a powerful and timely project that speaks to the spirit of Pan-Africanism and the role of the youth in shaping Africa’s future.

“I want to congratulate Lil Win for taking this bold step,” Ambassador Salamu noted. “The movie reflects leadership, courage, and patriotism—qualities we must continue to celebrate in Africa. Afro-Arab Group is committed to supporting initiatives that uplift the continent.”

Mr. Jerry Degraft Johnson also commended Lil Win’s creativity and vision, affirming the Group’s full support for the premiere and beyond.

Captain Ibrahim Traore, named after Burkina Faso’s current transitional president, is a gripping political drama that delves into the themes of leadership, revolution, and African unity. The film blends Ghanaian and Burkinabé talent and presents a fictionalized yet reflective story of African resilience and youthful leadership.

The official premiere of the movie is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 2nd August 2025, at the SG Mall in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital. The event is expected to attract dignitaries, fans, entertainment industry stakeholders, and political commentators, all eager to witness what is being hailed as one of Lil Win’s most ambitious productions to date.

According to Lil Win and his team, the film is not just for entertainment but is also intended to provoke thought, inspire the youth, and encourage pride in African identity.

As the countdown to the premiere continues, Lil Win’s visit to Ambassador Salamu Amadu underscores the powerful link between the creative arts and corporate leadership in Ghana, and the shared mission to push the African narrative onto the global stage.

With support from visionary leaders like Ambassador Salamu Amadu and an engaged fan base, Captain Ibrahim Traore is set to make a significant mark on Ghana’s film industry and ignite important conversations across the continent.
