Fulanis In Sunyani Chase Out Abronye, Disown Samira Bawumia

The Fulani community in Sunyani on Wednesday, 4th November, 2020 hooted at the NPP Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye at a function that was ostensibly organized by the NPP for the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia to meet them and interact with them.
Many were not surprised at the speed at which the Fulanis hooted at Abronye at the function Immediately he was introduced at the function as the NPP Regional Chairman.
Abronye, prior to the EC registration exercise in his usual acidic commentary, joined the likes of K T Hammond to describe Fulanis as foreigners and dare to deal with them should anyone of them, the Fulanis, attempted to register as a voter in the Bono Region.
Abronye, who was visibly ashamed, had to leave the function after the several attempt by the Police guard at the function to intervane rather aggravated them the more.
Moment after this growing hot air, Samira Bawumia, the second Lady, with her entourage arrived at the function. Surprisingly, there was no Regional nor Constituency Executive to accompany her aaide Abronye who was hooted at.
According to the NPP Regional Executives, Abronye has been taking all their resources to himself including cars and fight whoever complains of his autocratic leadership whose only aim is to amass wealth at the expense of the wellbeing of the party.
Samira Bawumia, in her attempt to appeal to the Fulanis to see her as one of them resulted in another open drama where the audience unanimously disowned her as one of them.
They openly told Samira that if she cared about them and really identified herself with them, she, Samira Bawumia, would have openly defended them when her own party Executives tagged them as foreigners and were preventing them from registering. How can you, Samira as a Fulani, sit down unconcern for your party people to treat us this way and come back for our votes?; a furious Fulani asked
Samira Bawumia, who had just began her address had to cut it short and leave the function realizing that the Fulanis were not ready to accept her plea. Samira Bawumia and her few entourage, who was frustrated to the brim, had no option than to leave the function.
