A lawyer representing a 40-year-old nurse and mother of three has accused the authorities of unlawfully arresting and detaining her in connection with an alleged plot to overthrow the President.
The lawyer, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, who is also the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, has raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding the arrest of his client, Salomey Baffoe.
According to the lawyer, the nurse’s arrest is linked to allegations of involvement in a purported coup plot. However, he has challenged the legality of the authorities’ actions and questioned the basis on which his client was arrested and detained.
