Bibiani Goldstars is the best club in Ghana – CEO Akwasi Adu after beating Hearts of Oak

Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani Goldstars, Akwasi Adu believes his outfit currently stands tall among all clubs in Ghana.

His remarks stem from the Miners’ flying start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Goldstars are currently on top of the domestic top-flight table after eight matches, winning five and drawing three games across the period.

The Miners narrowly defeated Hearts of Oak at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday, bringing an end to their five-match unbeaten streak.

Samuel Attah Kumi, 25, emerged as the hero after firing home the match-winner in the 69th minute after Hamza Issah missed a crucial penalty for Hearts of Oak.

After the game, the club’s chief addressed the players, saying, “You adhered to instructions from the coach throughout the game and I’m happy about that. I’m grateful to you. Aside from the huge bonuses, I’m sure you are personally happy about yourselves”

“Each of you must be proud of wearing a Goldstar jersey. We are currently the best club in Ghana. I won’t say we have won the league but then, we will fight until we play our final game of the season” he concluded.

With 18 points, Goldstars find themselves on top of the Ghana Premier League standings.
