There is ‘Juju’ in boxing – Azumah Nelson

Ghanaian former professional boxer, Azumah Nelson, has disclosed that some boxers use magical powers or ‘juju’ to aid them in their boxing wins.

He made this revelation in an interview with Rev. Erskine on the YLeaderboard Series segment of the Myd Morning show on YFM.

He narrated that he had an encounter with an opponent who had employed the use of magical powers for the fight.

“There is Juju in everything. I have got a lot of experience. For example, I was going to fight with someone and I developed stomach pains. I was crying like a baby. But I prayed before going into the ring. I don’t know what time the pain left. In the 6th round, I felt something drop from the back of my head and it was blood. When the referee saw this he wanted to stop the match but I told him I will continue and I won with points. I even called for a rematch and I told the guy at a press conference that I will knock him out in the 5th round. This was revealed to me by God”, he said.

He noted that unlike other boxers, he relied on God and he was very grateful to his father for introducing him to God.
