Kwaku Manu Fires Back at Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah in Escalating Feud

Ghanaian Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu has launched a scathing counter-attack against broadcaster and social commentator Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, marking a significant escalation in their public dispute. The feud, which has captured considerable attention on social media, ignited after Kwaku Manu, in a widely circulated video, accused Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah of harboring a personal agenda in his persistent and often aggressive criticism of the self-styled medical practitioner, ‘Dr’ Anne Sansa Daly.

Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, known for his outspoken nature, did not hesitate in his response to Kwaku Manu’s initial accusation. He hit back with harsh criticisms of the actor and went as far as to issue threats, vowing to expose personal secrets about Kwaku Manu. In a particularly strong warning, Okatakyie declared that once he was “done” with Kwaku Manu, the actor would be so disgraced that even market women wouldn’t hesitate to pour urine on him.

Recalling a past incident, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah stated, “There was a time Kwaku Manu interviewed Tornado, and that guy insulted my mother, I didn’t say anything. Now Kwaku Manu claims I’m only targeting Anne Sansa because I’m interested in her and not for political reasons.” He drew a parallel to his past warnings, adding, “That’s the same way I warned Anne Sansa Daly and she didn’t listen. I’ll give you a grace period. But if you don’t tread carefully, by the time I’m done with you, market women will pour urine on you.” This stark threat underscored the depth of his anger and his commitment to escalating the conflict.

Kwaku Manu, however, has proven equally unyielding. Taking to social media, he unleashed a fierce rebuke not only aimed at Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah but also at his perceived supporters. He maintained a defiant stance, asserting that no one, including Okatakyie, possesses the power to genuinely threaten him. Furthermore, he launched a direct political accusation, labeling the social commentator as a “liability” to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP). This suggests a deeper political undertone to their personal clash, with Kwaku Manu aligning Okatakyie’s actions with potential harm to the NPP’s image.

Addressing a personal jab from Okatakyie, Kwaku Manu responded with sharp wit and confidence: “May God bless you for saying I have crooked legs. But let me tell you, these ‘left-left’ legs have been to places you’ve never dreamed of. You are just now getting a taste of fame. Not everyone likes what you’re doing,” he stated, turning a perceived insult into a testament to his own achievements and dismissing Okatakyie’s popularity.

He continued his rebuttal by directly challenging Okatakyie’s specific threat of public humiliation in Kumasi. “Okatakyie, you claimed that after our online exchange, market women in Kumasi would pour urine on me. Let me be clear—no woman in Kumasi would do such a thing. If we ever meet in person, there’s nothing you can do to me,” Kwaku Manu declared, projecting an image of fearlessness and local support.

Finally, the Kumawood actor directly attacked Okatakyie’s character and alleged motivations. “You are the real problem of the NPP and Ashanti Region. All you care about is money, and in chasing it, you’re destroying the image of Ashantis,” Kwaku Manu concluded, leveling serious accusations of opportunism and regional disloyalty. This statement suggests that the feud is not merely a personal spat but delves into broader discussions about integrity, influence, and political allegiance within the public sphere. As both personalities continue to trade barbs, the public watches keenly for the next development in this unfolding saga.
