Kwahu Easter: Tafo leaders reenact ancestral journey in dazzling cultural display

As part of the Adom Kwahu Festival 2025 celebrations, the town of Kwahu Tafo witnessed a captivating cultural display led by the Chief of Tafo and his warriors.

The Chief and his entourage, clad in full warrior regalia held a symbolic procession to retrace the historic journey of their ancestors, and how the people of Tafo first settled in their current location.

Residents and visitors witnessed the rich tradition which included echoing sounds of war drums amid powerful chants.

This was to invoke the spirit of bravery, unity and leadership that guided their forefathers.

The scene drew cheers and admiration from spectators who gathered to witness this unique cultural reenactment.

The Adom Kwahu Festival continues to prove it’s not just about music and entertainment, but also about showcasing the richness of Ghanaian tradition and identity.
