Kwadwo Asamoah set for early Christmas break after being ruled out of Inter clash with Chievo

Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah is set for an early Christmas break after being ruled out of Inter Milan’s clash against Chievo due to suspension.

The midfielder picked his fifth caution of the season against his former club Udinese, ruling him out of Inter’s final game of the year.

This means Asamoah will have more time than expected to rest, prepare and come back stronger when the Serie A resumes in January 2019.

The 30-year-old joined the Nerazurris in the summer from Italian champions Juventus and has become a key cog in coach Luciano Spalleti’s side.

Asamoah has played 20 games this season for Inter, 14 of them in the Serie A and has one goal to his credit.

Inter Milan are currently third on the Serie A table after 16 games in the campaign.

The Ghana international will return to the squad for the game against Napoli at the San Siro next Wednesday.
