Kumawood actor Daniel Adeleye bid a sorrowful farewell to his father, Gabriel Adeleye Daniel, who was laid to rest in a burial ceremony held on June 22, 2025, at the State Boys School Park in Kumasi.
A video circulating on social media, sighted by GhanaWeb, captured the poignant moment as Daniel Adeleye was overcome with grief, shedding uncontrollable tears while standing beside the mortal remains of his late father. Dressed in an all-black outfit, the actor struggled to contain his sorrow during the somber occasion.
During the burial service, Daniel Adeleye’s mother delivered an emotional tribute that moved many sympathizers to tears. She eulogized her late husband, stating, “As I stand here today, I am paying my last respects to my late husband… He was the kind of husband I prayed to God for. I thank God for coming my way. He was also a loving man.”
The funeral ceremony saw a significant turnout from members of Ghana’s creative arts fraternity, including filmmakers Asare Bediako and Michael Afrane, among others, who gathered to offer their condolences and support to the grieving actor.
