How Kwame A Plus celebrated after winning Gomoa Central parliamentary seat

Independent candidate, Kwame Asare Obeng has been elected the Member of Parliament(MP) for Gomoa Central in the Central region.

Popularly known as Kwame A Plus, he secured an overwhelming victory with 14,277 votes out of 36,026 total valid votes cast.

A Plus who ahead of the election targeted 45% votes defeated the incumbent MP and NPP Candidate, Naana Eyiah Quansah.

Madam Quansah who doubles as Deputy Interior Minister polled 11,637 votes while the NDC’s Yawson Mohammed came third with 10,112 votes.

This victory marks Kwame A Plus’s first entry into Parliament and has left the incumbent MP and her supporters in shock.

Naana Eyiah, has served two terms in Parliament after winning the seat in 2016 and 2020 with commanding margins.

She was confident about retaining the seat.
