Koku Anyidoho meets father of Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo

Koku Anyidoho, the former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, had an encounter with Felix Mainoo, the father of Manchester United’s rising star, Kobbie Mainoo.

In a post shared by Koku Anyidoho on his Twitter account, he recounted meeting Felix Mainoo at the funeral of a mutual friend in Ghana.

Koku Anyidoho expressed his feelings about the encounter with Felix Mainoo on April 27, 2024, as a ‘privilege’.

“Had the privilege of meeting Kobbie Mainoo’s father this morning at the funeral of a late mutual friend of ours,” the post stated.

Kobbie Mainoo, who was born to Ghanaian parents Felix Mainoo and Abena Herold, has a sibling named Jordan Hames. The Mainoo family has spent the majority of their lives in Stockport, England.

Although Kobbie Mainoo was born in England, the Ghana Football Association is keen on having the young talent play for the country of his heritage.

Recognizing Kobbie Mainoo’s potential, England’s head coach Gareth Southgate extended an invitation for him to join the national team.

Kobbie Mainoo accepted the call and made his first appearance for England in a friendly match against Brazil on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
