Kofi Atta Mills joins son of John Mahama to campaign for NDC through a health walk at Tamale

The son of the Ghana’s late former president, John Evans Atta Mills, has been spotted actively participating in an NDC health walk in the Northern Region.

Held over the weekend, Kofi Sam Atta Mills, led the walk together with colleague son of former president, John Dramani Mahama, in what has become a common scene of sons of leading politicians participating in such political activities.

Together with Sharaf Dramani Mahama, the son of John Mahama, they joined the hundreds of sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who walked the streets of Tamale in a bid to show their preparedness towards the December general elections.

The walk also aimed at working towards increasing the voting pattern in favour of the NDC during pending 2024 general elections, which the party says is a mission to rescue Ghana from the ruling NPP.

Kofi Atta Mills joined the Health Walk in his quest to help galvanize the youth of Ghana to come out in their numbers to increase votes of the NDC and John Dramani Mahama “to reset the country on a good footing.”

It will be recalled that Mahama served as vice president to the late President John Evans Atta Mills.

This reason also informed the decision by Kofi Atta Mills to join Sharaf Dramani Mahama to embark on the health walk in Tamale.

Other notable personalities within the party who participated in the health walk were former Minority Leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrissu; Alhassan Suhiyini, Member of Parliament for Tamale North; Murtala Mohammed, MP for Tamale Central; the Northern Regional Chairman for the NDC; as well as Henry Osei Akoto, who described himself as a workaholic for the NDC.

Speaking at the health walk, Henry Osei Akoto stated that “there is no difference between President Akufo-Addo and the oppressors Dr. Kwame Nkrumah fought in Ghana in the 1950s prior to and after securing Ghana’s independence through to 1960s.”

He added that the NDC winning the December 7, 2024, presidential election will be the second Independence Day  for Ghana.
