All entry routes leading to the ultramodern Kejetia  lorry terminal have been marked as a no trading zone, KMA Boss Hon Osei Assibey announced in an interview with THE PRESS RADIO.
Though all barricades are cleared and all entry points opened, that is not an invitation to trade in any area within or around the project site.
KMA Boss insisted that any trader caught trading on any of the pavements or any of the roads linking the lorry terminal will be arrested and dealt with accordingly.
Traders as part of the announcement are to relocate to the “race cource” market and other satellite markets to carry on with their business.
Hon Osei Assibey coughed out this statement on the sidelines at the time the assembly in conjunction with the Ashanti regional security council were clearing entry routes of all debris, dismounting barricades and evicting traders from areas surrounding the project site.
The foregoing move according to Hon Assibey is to make way for the much awaited simulation exercise to test the strength of the terminal.
Authorities were not specific as to the exact date for the exercise but according to the Mayor, the simulation exercise will be carried out after all entry routes are cleared.
