One-time Communications Director at the Presidency during the erstwhile John Evans Atta Mills administration, Koku Anyidoho, has conceded that it will be a very “difficult task” to shake memories of his former boss from completely off his mind.

This is so because he had no friend and a mentor like the late former President.

According to him, his closeness to the former late president was so genuine to the extent could even “think” for Mr Mills in his presidential speeches which he Koku penned.

Koku, who was speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen political program, noted that his position as a Communications Director was cemented even before Ghanaians affirmed the late Mills as president.

“I was writing for him before he became president. I wrote all his [Late John Evans Mills] speeches from opposition to government, the AU speeches, all the ECOWAS speeches, National Thanksgiving speeches, Independence Day speeches, State of the Nation Address speeches. I, Koku Anyidoho, wrote all the speeches. This is a story I have to tell myself. The records are there,” he preened.

The former NDC deputy General Secretary said his work was too demanding that “Sometimes I have to lock myself in my room for two weeks just to get things done for the president.”

“Late President Mills will always go to parliament for the nation’s address with a draft of my speech not the final copy. The president trusted me. Sometimes I could even think for him, I understood him, I got into his system so I could think and write for him and he doesn’t make changes,” he revealed.
