Jose Mourinho reacts to Chelsea fans chanting his name years after his exit

Former AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho has broken his silence on Chelsea fans chanting his name during matches.

There are rumours that The Special One might find his way back to Stamford Bridge, at a time when the club is registering lousy results under Mauricio Pochettino.

The Blues face the prospect of missing out on Champions League football, as they currently sit 11th in the EPL table, having suffered 10 losses this season.

The disastrous run has been marked by Pochettino’s disappointing start to life at Stamford Bridge since his arrival last summer.

So unpopular the Argentine has become that fans have occasionally been chanting Mourinho’s name during matches, with Metro UK reporting that the Portuguese has since been linked with a third spell with the club.

Mourinho speaks on fans chanting his name
Mourinho has since broken silence on the happenings at Stamford Bridge, with the Portuguese saying that the chants are a sign of a job well done during his two stints at the London club.

“In my case, independent of results – of course I had the luck always to have something to celebrate, something for the fans to have a good memory of me – but I think something that they see is when you are committed to them,” The Special One told Fabrizio Romano.

Mourinho reiterated that at every club or country he has worked in, he has always remained devoted to the club and fans.

The Portuguese professional recently left his job at Roma, with pundits and football fans waiting for his next move.
