Jordan Ayew nears Crystal Palace exit as Leicester table £4million offer

Jordan Ayew’s stint with Crystal Palace could be coming to an end as the club considers a £4 million offer made for him by Premier League returnees, Leicester City.

The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, that Leicester City has proposed to sign the experienced Ghanaian forward for the above-quoted amount.

Crystal Palace, as per the reports, is seriously considering the amount as it is not far off their estimation of the 30-year-old.

“Leicester offer £4 million for Crystal Palace attacker Jordan Ayew. Palace considering the bid. Fee is within touching distance of what Palace are looking for,” a tweet by the Daily Mail’s Samik Mokbel reads.

Jordan Ayew has been heavily linked with Leicester City, who are looking to get some experienced Premier League players to improve their chances of staying in the competition.

Ayew has found minutes hard to come by since the arrival of Oliver Glasner, who has favored other players in the forward roles.

With Jordan Ayew’s contract set to end in June 2025, Crystal Palace, who have already lost winger Michael Olise to Bayern Munich, are reportedly willing to cash in on the Black Stars forward.

The Black Stars player registered four goals and eight assists in 37 games for Palace last season and became the first player to score a hat trick for the Black Stars since 2017 after scoring three times in Ghana’s 4-3 win over the Central African Republic in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
