Former Zambia and Ivory Coast national team Coach Herve Renard believes forward Jordan Ayew is the future of the Black Stars.

The Frenchman worked with Ayew, 28 at French Ligue 1 side Sochaux in 2013 and has spoken glowingly of the Ghanaian striker.

Jordan Ayew before the CoronaVirus induced football break was having his best ever season in England with Crystal palace when he netted 8 goals in 28 league matches.

He also endeared himself at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament last year by being Ghana’s best player by a mile and has so far scored 16 goals in 58 appearances for the Black Stars.

Renard who is no head Coach of Saudi Arabia’s national team believes Jordan has vastly improved and is ready to lead Ghana to the next stage.

He revealed this during an interview with TV3’s Juliet Bawuah.

“Asamoah Gyan now is the past and Jordan is the future,” Renard said.

“He is improving because it’s not easy to play in the premier league. He is working very hard. He is clever; doesn’t talk too much. Jordan is in my heart and I like his spirit”.

“I am very sure from now till the end of his career, he will do a lot of great things, and I my wish for him and his brother is that they will be able to win the AFCON before ending the career because I think they deserve it. It is time for them” he concluded.
