‘It was one phone call’ – Chickenman CEO recounts how Nii-Armah Quaye invested in his business

The Chief Executive of Chickenman Pizzaman, Chris Boakye Yiadom, has recounted the events that led to the investment of businessman, Richard Nii-Armah Quaye in his business, a move that changed his life forever.
According to him, it was a single phone call that made the difference. The call according to him, opened the door for the investment to be made in his business which has become a very popular food brand in Ghana.
Sharing words of appreciation during the birthday celebration of Nii-Armah Quaye, Boakye said: “And to date, it has been the most important call of our lives. We got to Quick Angels, where we encountered Mr Quaye. I don’t call him Mr Quaye, I call him ‘bossu’ and it’s not just about the money.
“There is a vocabulary we use amongst ourselves, we call it business sense. Whenever you interact with Mr Quaye, you leave and feel like you have all the sense in the world. And when you get into contact with him again, you will see that you are foolish and need more sense,” he said.
The Pizzaman CEO with over 25 branches nationwide said his company alone has employed over 2000 young people.
He added “Imagine we have 10 of Mr. Quaye, it means over 20,000 Ghanaians will be gainfully employed.
He further “bragged” that Pizzaman Chickenman is the highest-paying restaurant in Ghana.
Richard Nii-Armah Quaye is the founder of Bills Micro Credit, and an angel investor in Chickenman Pizzaman, Burger King and others.
He celebrated his 40th birthday at Independence Square on March 22, 2025. The occasion brought together friends and business associates from various industries.
