Is Electoral Commission’s Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan ‘Dead’?

Former Chairperson of Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC), Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan who was popularly known as Afari Gyan despite the numerous back and front with the new voters register and the heated 2020 general elections have intended not to speak to make Ghanaians have a better view of his long term experience as former EC boss as he has been missing in the political scene just after his retirement.

Mr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan known as a political scientist, a father of African politics, and as a lecturer and a professor in Political Science Department at the University of Ghana, Legon is one remarkable personality we need at this time of a heated election. REPORTGHANA.Com  taken his long term position as the Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Ghana to recall that he gave us over a decade of peaceful and transparent elections.

To his credit, Mr Gyan was a member of the Committee of Experts that drafted the Fourth Republican Constitution for Ghana

On a very sad note, Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan has been missing in action as his presence is no longer felt on issues that bother on elections in the country, theBBCghana.Com can testify.

With a heated election that has been battling legal actions at Supreme Court of Ghana as reported by reportghana.com, wouldn’t it be in the right frame on the mind to bring in Mr. Afari Gyan to help to settle disputes and legal battles that have generated a lot of controversies prior to the December Presidential and Parliamentary elections?

Reportghana is asking what has actually caused Mr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan’s long absence?
