Inter Milan ready to hijack Thomas Partey move from Atletico Madrid

Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan have targeted Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey for next season.

The Nerazzurri are looking for a combative midfielder and head coach Antonio Conte believes the Ghana international fits the bill.

Inter should be ready to meet his 50 million euro release clause in his existing contract which expires in 2023.

But the Spanish side have tabled in a new offer for the Black Stars midfielder which will see his release clause rise up to €93 million.

Inter Milan General Manager Beppe Marotta is monitoring the issue and will launch a move should the contract extension fail to materialize.

Partey has been a vital part of Diego Simeone’s plans this season making 24 La Liga appearances and eight in the Champions League.
