Inaccurate applicant details stall passport deliveries

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged passport applicants to double-check their contact details after several passports remained undelivered due to incorrect addresses and phone numbers.

In a public notice, the Ministry said courier services were forced to return numerous passports to Passport Application Centres (PACs) after being unable to reach applicants within the standard 21-day delivery period.

According to the Ministry, the failed deliveries were mainly due to incorrect addresses or non-functional phone numbers provided during the application process.

As a result, the Ministry has advised all applicants who have not yet received delivery updates to visit the PAC where their biometric data was captured.

Applicants may also call the Passport Client Service Unit on 0302 754 200 to make alternative arrangements.

The Ministry further encouraged the public to ensure accuracy in their applications to avoid delays, emphasising the need for cooperation to streamline passport issuance.
