I’m Set to be the youngest regional Chairman in Ghana – Kwame Aboagye.

Immediate past Damongo constituency chairman for the ruling New Patriotic Party,Nana Kwame Aboagye has urged delegates within the Savanna region to vote massively for him on Monday’s NPP regional delegates conference.

Speaking to delegates round up his campaign, Kwame Aboagye touted his achievements starting from his days as the organiser to the Damongo constituency chairmanship.

According to the chairman aspirant,he has been tried and tested within the region and will do more to win at least four(4) of the seats in addition to the one seat in the region.

He said the infant region needs someone who will serve and not to be served that is why he has unveiled himself to go for the chairmanship position after recieving an overwhelming endorsement across the newly created region.

Chairman Kwame Aboagye is looking forward to become the youngest NPP regional chairman in Ghana with many party faithfuls tipping him to win with a very high margin since he is a household name in the region.

This is the maiden edition of electing leaders to manage the affairs of the party since it’s creation.

The NPP as a party has always performed very poorly since 1992 in the Savanna enclave.

A number of key positions in the party are expected to be contested  for with the chairmanship position keenly contested by two high powered personalities in the party.

Nana Kwame Aboagye,a one time organiser of the  NPP in the Damongo constituency and current chairman of the party in the constituency who just resigned his position to vye for the regional chairmanship slot is locking horns with another veteran politician  popularly known as Professor Kalamonia who lost to Chairman Samba in the Northern regional election before the creation of Savanna region has decided to contest again in his region of birth.
