I’m proud of King Paluta – Guru praises former signee

Popular Ghanaian musician and producer Guru has expressed pride in King Paluta’s growth and achievements in the music industry.

Speaking in an interview with Berla Mundi on TV3, Guru shared his thoughts on the success of his former signee, King Paluta.

“People were doubting him when I brought him out,” Guru recalled. “They were like, anytime I go on air and say, ‘Okay, my favourite artiste is King Paluta. My best rapper is King Paluta.’ They would ask, ‘Are you sure? Who is he?’ They didn’t even know. But I’m proud of him today because he’s been able to grow from whatever he was doing.”

Guru highlighted the importance of growth and finding a style that resonates with the audience, noting that King Paluta has successfully navigated this journey.

Guru made it clear that there is no bad blood between him and King Paluta who signed on to his NKZ label in 2017 and remained there for two years.

When asked if he would consider bringing King Paluta back into his fold, Guru responded, “No. Now he’s a full-grown artiste.”
