If I were educated, I would have been the first appointee of Mahama – Appiah Stadium

Speaking on Kasapa FM on Friday, January 10, 2025, he expressed his frustration with certain NDC members who neglected Mahama during the party’s eight years in opposition, with some even aligning themselves with the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He explained that Mahama should appoint those who truly deserve the positions, based on their contributions.

Reflecting on his own contributions, Appiah Stadium said that if he had been educated, he would have been the first person to be nominated for an appointment, ahead of other prominent figures such as Ato Forson.

“I am here to support my father (John Mahama). I don’t think he should appoint anyone who doesn’t merit an appointment. When the NDC went into opposition for eight years, there were some NDC members who neglected him. Some would see him at funerals and pretend they haven’t seen him.

“Some even went on to support NPP. If I were educated, I would have been the first person to be appointed based on the work I put into the campaign. I would have been his first appointee. My name would be mentioned way before Ato Forson’s name,” he said.
