Ibrahim Mahama foots $70k bill for an acute myeloid leukaemia patient

Renowned philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama, has once again come to the aid of a terminally ill Ghanaian.

The Ghanaian business mogul and billionaire, known for his philanthropic work, has fully covered the medical expenses of a patient named Phoebe, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia.

According to GHOne TV, Ibrahim Mahama funded the entire cost of Phoebe’s $70,000 surgery for the treatment of the condition.

“Ibrahim Mahama fully funds $70,000 surgery for Phoebe, diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia,” the media outlet posted on X on May 23, 2025.

This marks the second time in less than a month that the billionaire has stepped in to support a Ghanaian in urgent need of medical care.

Earlier in May, he sponsored emergency medical treatment in the United Kingdom for Suzy Adwoa Pinamang, a second-year student of Adventist Senior High School in Bantama, who was accidentally shot in the eye by a classmate.
