I will score against Chad – ‘Confident’ Inaki Williams assures Ghanaians

Since making his debut in October 2022, the forward has scored just one goal in 21 appearances. His only goal was a crucial strike that secured all three points for the Black Stars against Madagascar in November 2023.

Despite the long goal drought, the Athletic Club forward has confidently delivered a message to fans, promising he would score against Chad.

Speaking in Twi in a video shared by the Ghana Football Association, the 30-year-old asked Ghanaians how they were doing before assuring them of a goal.

“How are you? I’ve come home. Friday, I’ll score a goal. See you soon,” he said in Twi.

The forward has accumulated 10 goals and 9 assists in 40 appearances for Athletic Club this season, having scored 5 goals in the Spanish La Liga and 5 in the Europa League.

Following Madagascar’s victory over Central African Republic on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the Black Stars now sit third in the standings with nine points, trailing Madagascar and Comoros, who occupy the first and second spots, respectively.
