I will remove import duties on mobile phones and make data affordable – Dr Bawumia

Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has promised to remove import duties on mobile phones and reduce the cost of internet data in the country if elected in the upcoming general election.

Addressing stakeholders at Nhyiaeso as part of his constituency-focused nationwide campaign in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Bawumia said his youth policies will create jobs for the youth.

He stressed that a vote for him is a vote for the protection of social policies such as the Free SHS, School Feeding Programme, and the National Health Insurance.

Dr. Bawumia explained how digital training skills will create jobs and wealth for the youth.

He announced that as part of his tax policies, import duties on mobile phones will be removed.

He said Ghana will witness more development under his presidency.
