The leader of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Rev. Kwabena Andrews, who is well known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, has said that he will advocate for men to marry more women if his presidential ambition comes to pass.
He argued that since there are more women in the country, it will be wise for these women to have partners to help them in their livelihoods and not to remain single as the men are fewer.
The founder of Life Assembly Worship Center also noted that men marrying multiple partners will aid the country’s population to grow significantly as God commanded humans to do.
Speaking in an interview with Kasapa FM, Osofo Kyiri Abosom indicated that polygamy is not a sin and does not apply to the current dispensation as stated in the Bible.
“When we come to office, I will advocate so that men will marry five, six, seven, or even ten. The plenty of women, who do you expect to be with them? So it’s good. When that happens, our population will increase as God told us to fill the earth.
“You should make sure you are working to generate enough revenue to cater for the women. It is not a sin. There are things that were written to some people during their dispensation [in the Bible], so ours is different,” he said in Twi.
