I will accept criticism but not curses from you – Ogyaba claps back at Prophet Oduro

Prophet Ogyaba has responded to Prophet Kofi Oduro’s criticisms following the revelation of the former’s extramarital affairs.

In a TikTok post on February 6, 2025, Ogyaba expressed his dissatisfaction with the direction of Oduro’s criticism, stating that the backlash was driven by hatred.

Quoting Ecclesiastes 7:20, Ogyaba warned that if Prophet Kofi Oduro wishes for his death, he reciprocates the same wish upon him.

“Words are powerful, so don’t take them lightly. If you come to insult me online, I will accept that, because your insults will have their consequences. But if you go online to curse me out of hatred, based on an issue you know nothing about, like a fool, I won’t tolerate that,” he fumed.

Ogyaba also asked Prophet Oduro to get the facts right about issues before judging.

“Kofi Oduro, the issue at hand is blackmail. If you want to know the truth, I took her to church, and she started taking advantage of my position. So, Mr. ‘Holy’ without sin, you can’t stand in church and wish for my miserable death. You will face that fate instead. Next time, don’t act like a robot. Don’t grow without wisdom. Every curse you throw at me will be returned to you,” he added.

What Prophet Kofi Oduro said

Earlier, Prophet Kofi Oduro condemned Prophet Ogyaba’s actions during one of his sermons, labelling them a disgrace to Christianity.

He emphasised that as a prophet, Prophet Ogyaba holds a position of great trust and his primary duty is to lead people to salvation and not astray.

“When you fall into adultery, you give others the chance to speak ill of God’s name,” Oduro stated. “As Christians, we must avoid behaviours that bring shame and tarnish God’s reputation. Some pastors have allowed people to speak badly about God’s work because of their actions,” he retorted.

He continued, “You have a wife, and someone comes to your church. Your duty is to guide them toward salvation, not to take advantage of them. Even if you are a false prophet, as long as you’re in charge of God’s flock, you must think wisely. It is not your role to take off her bra or abuse her.”
