Man, 22, lynched while going to visit friend at dawn

A 22-year-old man identified as Kenten Yeboah has met his untimely death after being lynched at Wassa Akropong in the Western region.

The incident is said to have occurred on Monday dawn while going to his friend’s house.

Yeboah is alleged to have died after a mob accused him of theft and attacked him when he stepped out of the home of his friend who was not around.

His elder brother, Nana Dwomfour confirmed the incident on Adom FM midday news, Kasiebo is Tasty.

Dwomfour disclosed that, some of his friend’s co-tenant identified him but others insisted he was a thief who was part of the incessant crime in the area.

The friend’s landlord is also said to have locked him in a room and whipped him mercilessly with a cable after the action of the angry mob.

Kenten was later left to go home but arrived in a terrible state.

Just when his family was preparing to rush him to the hospital, he passed on.

Dwomfour said three persons including the landlord have been arrested while others are on the run.
