How to book flight for visa application

To book a flight ticket for a visa application without paying, you can follow these common and accepted methods:

1. Use a Dummy Ticket Service (Recommended for Schengen and many embassies)

There are online services that provide verifiable flight reservations without actual ticket purchases.

How it works:
You pay a small fee (usually $10–$30) for them to hold a reservation for you for a short period (24–72 hours), enough to submit your visa application.

2. Book a Refundable Ticket

Buy a fully refundable flight ticket through airlines or platforms like Expedia or Orbitz. Cancel after getting your visa or once the application is submitted.

Pros: Higher acceptance rate.
Cons: You need to temporarily spend more money.

3. Use the “Hold” Option on Airline Websites

Some airlines (like Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Lufthansa) allow you to hold a booking without payment for 24–72 hours. This option is usually under “Fare Lock” or “Hold My Booking.”

4. Book Through a Travel Agency

Local travel agents can issue a temporary booking confirmation for visa purposes. This is common practice and often accepted by embassies.

Warning:

Do not submit fake or photoshopped tickets. Embassies may verify booking references, and submitting fake documents can lead to visa rejection or bans.
