Ghanaian celebrities such as Sister Deborah, Wode Maya, and Kelvyn Boy, among others, shared their joy on social media, expressing eagerness to see the country compete in the World Cup.

Musician Sister Deborah tweeted her belief that the Black Stars are capable of winning the World Cup.

Media personality Wode Maya also expressed happiness, noting that the Black Stars have regained their momentum after a long period of disappointing performances.

To him, the Black Stars’ official yellow jersey worn during the Madagascar game is their good luck charm, as they consistently put up impressive performances when they wear it.

“Black Stars is back, or is it just Madagascar siaaaaaaaaaaaa! Black Stars should not stop wearing this yellow jersey oooo,” he wrote.

Guinness World Record Sing-a-Thon contender, Afua Asantewaa, also commented on the Black Stars’ progress, noting that the team is steadily working toward their World Cup dreams, with the country rallying behind them.

“Stars shaping the World Cup dream slowly, but surely,” she said.

The Black Stars’ victory has propelled them to the top of Group I with 15 points, followed by Madagascar with 10 points.

In their previous game against Chad on Friday, March 21, 2025, the Black Stars secured a dominant 5-0 victory.
