How Kwaku Oteng survived robbery attack from gun-wielding worker – Diana Asamoah narrates

In light of the arrest of her ‘assistant pastor’, which was at her behest, Evangelist Diana Asamoah has recounted how Dr Kwaku Oteng faced a life-threatening encounter at the hands of an ‘armed robber’.

Reacting to her assistant’s ‘stealing conduct’, which has garnered massive comments on social media, Diana Asamoah said in Dr Kwaku Oteng’s case, he almost got killed by one of his workers who plotted to steal from him at gunpoint.

Speaking during her show on Angel FM, Evangelist Diana Asamoah said the thief, who was identified as ‘Arafat’, intended to rob and kill the business mogul, but his plans failed through divine intervention.

She said the CCTV cameras revealed that Arafat had been stealing from the CEO of the Angel Group of Companies over a long period, and on that fateful day, he was unluckily caught in the act.

Diana Asamoah said Arafat pulled a gun on Dr. Oteng and intended to shut him up once and for all.

“Arafat pulled a gun on my brother Dr. Kwaku Oteng and took his money. He went with a gun because he intended to kill Dr. Oteng that very day. Also, if you watch the CCTV cameras, you’d realize that if Dr Kwaku Oteng had not seen him that day, he would have kept stealing, and nobody would know. He had been stealing money from Dr. Oteng long before he was caught on that day,” she stated.

Meanwhile, The ‘Anopa wim’ hitmaker, who is still peeved with her assistant pastor’s betrayal, said,

“The hands that do not work will not eat. When you travel abroad even pastors do menial jobs just to make ends meet. You’d see major pastors working around the clock to put food on their table, but here in Ghana, people just want to reap where they did not sow,” she added.

She also tackled critics for questioning her reasons for arresting her assistant over what they described as a ‘mere’ GH₵4000.

“People are asking why I arrested the pastor for stealing GH₵4000. I would’ve made profits if I had invested that money into my business. This is Evangelist Diana Asamoah; I am calling a spade a spade,” she retorted.

Background

Earlier on April 26, Diana Asamoah caused the arrest of her assistant pastor for allegedly stealing GH₵4000 from her Mobile money account.

According to her, the suspect confessed that he spied on the gospel singer while she was making a transaction and got to know her mobile money PIN enabling him to transfer the money.

In a video shared on social media, the suspect, Reverend Kwame Asante was spotted in handcuffs at the Tesano Police station, while the gospel singer recorded him and narrated the story in the background.

“He is the one that translates my preaching into English, he is also my Bible reader. He speaks in tongues and he sometimes works in my absence. But this is not the first or second time, he usually goes on his knees to beg and I forgive him.” Diana Asamoah is heard stating in the background of the video.
