How King Paluta reacted to his song ‘Makoma’ being performed in a church

Popular Ghanaian artiste King Paluta has reacted to a viral video of a church congregation dancing to his latest song, “Makoma.”

The video made popular or X by user EdHub, shows a congregation singing and dancing along to the song during a live service.

In a lighthearted response, King Paluta humorously stated, “Make nobody write apology letter come again o.”

This was a callback to an earlier incident where a Catholic priest, Rev. Father Peter Kusi Twumasi, Acting Rector of St. Stephen Rectorate in Bodomase, Ashanti region, apologised for leading his congregation in singing King Paluta’s “Aseda” during a church service.

A viral video showed the congregation joyfully singing along, which sparked mixed reactions. The priest explained that he was carried away and did not intend to disrespect Catholic Church traditions by allowing a secular song in the sacred space.

King Paluta’s songs, known for their inspirational messages, have been featured on various platforms including wedding ceremonies, political rallies and churches.
