How celebrities reacted to Ghana’s 5-0 victory over Chad

Some Ghanaian celebrities have taken to social media to share their joy after the Black Stars of Ghana defeated Chad 5-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier, which took place on Friday, March 21, 2025, started with Antoine Semenyo’s early goal.

Inaki Williams and Jordan Ayew added to the lead before halftime, making it 3-0 before Mohammed Salisu and Ernest Nuamah extended the advantage in the second half, sealing the win.

The result placed Ghana at the top of Group I with 12 points, strengthening their qualification prospects.

Following the victory, some overjoyed celebrities went on their social media platforms to celebrate the win.

Media personality Serwaa Amihere and Hiplife rapper Kwaw Kese commented on the love shown to the Black Stars at the overpacked stadium. Serwaa even hilariously pleaded with the team to stop scoring.

Ayigbe Edem posted about how he can sleep peacefully due to the victory, while Nana Aba Anamoah shared a meme teasing Chad after the match.
