How celebrities reacted to Black Stars’ World Cup qualification win over CAR

Several celebrities in Ghana have shared their sentiments following the Black Stars’ victory over the Central African Republic with a score of 4-3 in the World Cup qualifier held in Kumasi.

Many notable figures were thrilled by the Black Stars’ tenacity in a match that was on the brink of a draw.

A few celebrities criticized the condition of the pitch, which they felt hindered the proper flow of the game, while others praised the team for bringing honour to the nation.

Among the celebrities who commented on the match were Nana Aba Anamoah, Sonnie Badu, Bridget Otoo, Serwaa Amihere, and more.

“Great job boys… They really showed up but Kumasi Sports Stadium no be easy like that. I knew there was no way we would lose. To my Kumasi people, thank you for the support … @blackstarsofghana I will be waiting for you here in ATLANTA,” Sonnie Badu wrote on Instagram.

On Monday, June 10, 2024, Ghana clashed with the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and emerged victorious.

Jordan Ayew shone brightly, netting three goals, and winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku added another to Ghana’s tally.

This win positions Ghana favourably in Group I, accumulating nine points after four matches, as they aim to clinch a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
