Hot FM presenter mocks Anas with Patience Nyarko’s ‘Obinyane Me’ hit song

Ace investigative Journalist, Justice Kwaku Annan has mocked award-winning investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas with the hit song of popular Gospel musician Patience Nyarko titled “Obinyane me”.

Anas Aremeyaw Anas, petitioned the National Media Commission (NMC) to investigate Accra-based radio station Hot FM and its current affairs show host, Justice Kwaku Annan for using their platform to malign him with no justifiable proof or evidence.

The petition dated July 3 and signed by Anas argues that the conduct of Mr Annan host of ‘Ghana Must Know’ and by extension Hot 93.9FM is not in accordance with the highest journalistic standards and media ethics pursuant to section 13 of National Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act 449).

In the petition, Anas claimed that the attacks by Mr. Justice Annan, aimed at discrediting Tiger Eye Pi’s investigative works, began prior to and after the public broadcast of the team’s expose on the Ghana Football Association, ‘Number 12’.

Anas revealed further in the petition that, Mr Annan asked Anas’ undercover operatives to pay an initial deposit of GHC35,000 to contribute to a project to destroy him(Anas), Tiger Eye PI and Kweku Baako, the Editor in Chief of the New Crusading Guide.

Responding to Anas’ allegation against him on his show ‘Ghana Must Know’ on Hot 93.9FM monitored by www.Razzonline.com, Justice Kwaku Annan delineated with much humor that,

“Hahahaha…I never knew it would get to a stage when someone will say things against or investigate dubious things about Anas which will hurt him vehemently…So Anas has now realized how it is to be investigated…Am I dreaming? He hasn’t seen nothing yet”.

Justice Kwaku Annan who looked unperturbed that Anas has reported him to the National Media Commission, mocked Anas by playing and singing Patience Nyarko’s ‘Obinyane Me’ hit song to signify how surprised he is that his investigation on Anas could hurt the latter so much that he has gone to the extreme of reporting him to the media commission.

“Ghana Must Know’, comes on from Monday-Friday between 1pm-3pm.
