Heart of Oak asked Malik Akowuah to look elsewhere after his 3-year contract spells

Malik Akowuah’s time with Hearts of Oak has ended after the Club refused to renew his contract.

The midfielder has been asked to look elsewhere as he brings his three-year spell with the Club to an end.

Akowuah joined Hearts of Oak from Medeama SC but eventually lost his place in the team.

Despite being one of the experienced players in the Hearts of Oak team, his service will not be needed by Coach Kim Grant ahead of the new season.

“Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has taken the option not to renew the contract of midfielder Malik Akowuah following the expiration of his three-year deal at the club,” the Club tweeted.

“We thank him for his professional service to the club and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.”

The Phobians have already signed midfielder Dominic Eshun from Karela United.
