Hasaacas Ladies land in Côte d’Ivoire ahead of CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers

Ghana’s representative at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone B qualifiers, Hasaacas Ladies Football Club, touched down in Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire, on August 9, 2024, full of determination as they prepare to compete in this year’s qualifiers.

The Sekondi-based team will participate in the highly anticipated tournament, which will run from August 10 to August 23, 2024.

Despite the absence of head coach Yusif Basigi, who is currently engaged with the Black Princesses at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, the team, led by assistant coach Charles Anokye Frimpong, remains confident and ready to represent Ghana on the continental stage.

The team will also be without the services of their markswoman, Mukarama Abdulai.

Hasaacas Ladies are drawn in Group B, where they will face Nigeria’s Edo Queens, Burkina Faso’s Omnisports Etincelle, and Niger’s AS Garde National. The team is eager to build on their previous continental experience, having finished as runners-up in the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League in 2021.

As the qualifiers approach, Hasaacas Ladies are focused on making a strong impression and securing a spot in the 2024/25 CAF Women’s Champions League.
