Greater Accra Regional Minister, 2 others approved by Parliament

Parliament has approved three additional ministerial nominees of President John Dramani Mahama.

The approved ministers are Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Minister of State in charge of Special Initiatives; Kenneth Adjei, Minister of Works, Housing, and Water Resources; and Linda Ocloo, the Greater Accra Regional Minister.

Their approval followed thorough deliberations on the Appointments Committee’s report in Parliament on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

Linda Ocloo, the Member of Parliament of Shai Osudoku, made history with the shortest vetting session to date, spending less than 10 minutes before the committee.

Minority Leader, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, noted that the delegation accompanying her was formidable, underscoring her competence to lead the ministry, while the Chairman of the Committee, Bernard Ahiafor, acknowledged the guests who accompanied the nominee.
